[iffProject](https://iffproject.fz-juelich.de) is another attempt to extend the digital workplace with a collaborative service.
Many colleagues have asked for a Trello replacement. We were overwhelmed by your demand. Now the time has come. We have set-up an open source alternative based on Wekan.
Our three main goals are:
* An open-source kanban board
* Card-based task and to-do management
* Collaboration in real-time
Wekan allows to create Boards, on which Cards can be moved around between a number of Columns. Boards can have many members, allowing for easy collaboration, just add everyone that should be able to work with you on the board to it, and you are good to go! You can assign colored Labels to cards to facilitate grouping and filtering, additionally you can add members to a card, for example to assign a task to someone.
Whether you’re maintaining a personal todo list or working in a team on your next revolutionary idea, Kanban boards are an unbeatable tool to keep your things organized. They give you a visual overview of the current state of your project, and make you productive by allowing you to focus on the few items that matter the most.

## Getting started
As the service has been fully integrated into the central login service of PGI/JCNS, which manages access to various web services such as CodiMD (iffMD), JupyterHub (iffjupyter) and ShareLaTeX (iffTeX), users from other institutes will first need to activate it. This can be done informally by email (mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org).
